Day 7: Harrogate to Bakewell

We were 2 men on a mission today. Make it to Thornbridge Brewery by 3pm.

The day started off wet but cleared up pretty quick, then it was fast down past Leeds, through Barnsley and around Sheffield to Bakewell. We were warmly welcomed to Thornbridge Brewery with a cold bottle of Jaipur (only one of our favourite beers) and given a superb brewery tour. Thornbridge are at the forefront of modern brewing in the UK with lots of smaller breweries looking to them for advice. Their passion for beer is clear but we’ll write a full review of their brewery and future later.

Also… Packing up tent in the rain, didn’t pay for campsite, coffee and cake in a charity shop, legs feeling strong, very nice hostel (well, castle) with local ales
